Joey - Woodland Session

- Professional Dog Photography Bedfordshire -    Meet Joey.

Joey is a Bernese Mountain dog cross with a German Shepard. So he is 100% awesome. 

Joey is a big fluffy bear, with the biggest heart and the biggest and happiest smile a dog can give you. Yes also the biggest drooly tongue, perfect for those slobbery kisses :D  Joey - Cheese Connoisseur and Tennis Ball Chaser
Our session started on a rather grey 'ish day, well I could say a very British day. Joey's shoot was held in a lovely woodland here in Bedfordshire, woods full of cool smells to sniff, places to explore and squirrels to chase. 
Joey is just the happiest dogs you will meet. Look at his big smile. 

He loved exploring the woods and he was such a professional poser. Plus his sexy side tongue :D 
And as his humans were there, of course we had to have our traditional Human & Dog Family Photo. It is amazing how many people now request this photo and I simply love it. Cool trainers or muddy wellies are simply perfect for this shot. 
And as a little special, we did some "hold my paw" photos. And also a bump photo, as Joey will be a big brother in a couple of month. 

And dogs are really the best. They do show us to slow down, to sit down and stand still and see the world go by. Our lives are so busy, that we sometimes forget this and move from one task to the other.  So sometimes on my sessions, we sit down for a couple of minutes and simply watch the dogs to their thing, sniffing round, looking at birds, eating cones - spit them out - eating the same cone again ... It's a dogs life. 

We finished our session just before the rain arrived. Just as I took the last photo of Joey sitting proudly in the ferns, his fur waving in the wind and he was looking as grand a lion in the African savanna. What a timing. 
Joey's humans loved their photos and have a huge frame with his pawtrait in their living room. 

"We love our photos of Joey. They are a pride of place on the wall."
